Eit av Noregs mestseljande band gjennom tidene «Dance With A Stranger» fyller i år 40 år i 2024! Jubileet skal feirast gjennom heile året med ei omfattande Norgesturné.

«Dance With A Stranger» vart starta i 1984 og vart raskt ein av Noregs største popsuksessar - både på heimebane og i Europa. Gjennom sin særeigne sound inspirert av blues, jazz, soul, rock og pop tok dei publikum med storm og representerte noko heilt nytt i norsk musikkliv. Bandet har gjeve ut til saman åtte album og vunne Spellemannsprisen heile tre gonger inkl. vandretrofeet «Årets spellemann». Dei har hatt låtar frå samtlige åtte album inne på VG-lista, fleire av dei på 1. plass. 

– «Sidan det er 40 års jubileum ville vi feire med eit par nye låtar. Både for eigen del, men fyrst og fremst ville vi gje noko tilbake til fansen som har følgt oss i alle år» seier bandet.

One of Norway's best-selling bands of all time, "Dance With A Stranger," turns 40 in 2024! The anniversary will be celebrated throughout the year with an extensive Norway tour.

"Dance With A Stranger" was founded in 1984 and quickly became one of Norway's biggest pop successes - both at home and in Europe. With their distinctive sound inspired by blues, jazz, soul, rock, and pop, they took audiences by storm and represented something entirely new in Norwegian music. The band has released a total of eight albums and won the Spellemann Award three times, including the prestigious "Artist of the Year" award. They have had songs from all eight albums on the VG-lista, several of them reaching number one.

– "Since it's our 40th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate with a couple of new songs. Both for our own sake, but first and foremost, we wanted to give something back to the fans who have followed us all these years," says the band.

On September 26, they will come to Volda and Rokken, and this will be a party you don't want to miss!
